Probably the most fantastic gamebook ever written, it has a bewitching dark atmosphere that entraps you and makes you want to know more about the plagued land you journey through, this feeling beeing enhanced by the marvelous drawings of Martin McKenna, blacker and gloomier than ever.... chilling !!

Your objective is to save your parents from the demon lord Myurr, whose foul armies are ravaging the land, and the task ain't easy, hopefully you may pick amongst a pack of demonhunter abilities, which you will have to use with extreme caution, less they blacken your soul...

I totally agree, Sir. This is my favorite Fighting Fantasy gamebook.
It's DARK, adult, sticky, and has some great talents, such as Dark Veil, Holy Circle, Sense and Speak Demon.

It's a shame that some of the wonderful drawings of Martin McKenna are missing in the French books :

Dead of night is in my top five favorite FF, a bloody greatest darkness book, with big moments and crepuscular atmosphere, a must have !
